We just received Georg Stahl's translations of On Vision and Color by Arthur Schopenhauer/Color Sphere by Philip Otto Runge. Both essays are bound in a slim little volume. It does not look very intimidating, but is probably not for the faint of heart.
Frank Auerbach: London Building Sites 1952-1962 reminds us of the construction site outside of our second floor window (on the corner of 10th and G). The reproductions are descent. Some, it seems, are shot in a kind of raking light, which if you know Auerbach, you know that that isn't very complimentary to his work. The images of his drawings more than make up for it though. In fact, I would love to see a book of his drawings of masterworks. Do you hear me internet?! Make that happen!
Antique Collector's Club has been publishing these handsome little Design series books. For superior design in cutlery might I suggest our David Mellor. We also have El Lissitzky for the more graphically oriented.
