Our Dark Past in Color

A patron requested material about Japanese Internment Camps today. I noticed, while scanning the records in our catalog, that we have "Art of Gaman: arts and crafts from the Japanese American Internment Camps, 1942-1946" (704.0869 H6683) by Delphine Hirasuna. Coincidentally, the Smithsonian American Art Museum is hosting an exhibit of the works featured in this volume, at the Renwick Gallery through January 2011. A convenient coincidence for a culturally thirsty citizen.
