The Emmy winning TV writer and former Washington Post journalist David Mills died last week at the age of 48. He was most famous for his work on the HBO series "The Wire" based in Baltimore, MD. Washington-born, and a U of Maryland graduate, David Mills worked closely with Baltimore Sun writer David Simon on many projects. Currently he has been involved with the upcoming series "Treme" based in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. DCPL owns copies of "The Wire" and the series it was based on, "the Corner" at several branch locations. Honor this local legacy and check out his work.
