14th Annual Iranian Film Festival

Beginning this Saturday, January 24th, is the 14th Annual Iranian Film Festival at the Freer and Sackler Galleries. The films are free, but some require reservations. Visit their website for a complete schedule, description of films, and ticket information.

Interested in Iranian film? Check out "Asian Cinema: a field guide" (791.4309 V636) by Tom Vick. Not only does it discuss Iran, but includes perspectives on cinema from the Middle East to Southeast Asia. MLK Library also owns several films from Iran, found in the Popular Library on the First Floor.
