Bare Bones

As the body of Renaissance painter Caravaggio's body is exhumed, pay him tribute while browsing the Art section of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio's death remains a mystery: was he murdered for religious reasons, or did he die of malaria on a deserted beach? Perhaps the anthroplogists of Italy, who will be examining his remains, will come to a more solid conclusion. Until then, you can follow his story and learn of the mystery surrounding his life with these titles: "The Lost Painting," by Jonathan Harr (759.5 C262 zh) and "Caravaggio's Secrets" by Leo Bersani (759.5 C262ZBE).
