Infotopia (3 posts in one)

Having safely returned to my big office with huge north facing windows I report the following:

Wale has been getting a lot of attention lately. Dusted reviews his debut album.

We received a lot of new material. The highlights include:
Cowboys Full: The Story of Poker by James McManus (795.412 M137); When The Game Was Ours by Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and Jackie McMullen (796.323 B618); K2: Life and Death on the World's Most Dangerous Mountain by Ed Viestures and David Roberts (796.522 V665); The Simpsons: An Uncensored, Unauthorized History by John Ortved (794.4572 O78); Kelvin: Clour Today edited by Robert Klanten, Boris Brumnjak, and Sven Ehmann (701.85 K29); and Let It Bleed: The Rolling Stones, Altamont, and the End of the Sixties by Ethan A. Russell (782.4216 R962)

Finally, in honor of the terrific Anne Truitt retrospective at the Hirshhorn, stop by your friendly neighborhood (if you're in Chinatown, that is) library and pick up Daybook and Turn. Both were written by Truitt, both are about her life as an artist, and both were pilfered from the Biography division shelves for my little display. Check them out before the History people find out they're gone!
